A common question is how to set up the Etrovision Video Server IP address, etc. What software, etc. Software is not needed. The video server will serve up the required ActiveX when you log into it. You can only use WindowIE to start since its an ActiveX. (Once your in you can enable the video to RTSP stream and use a VLC viewer). The default IP address of the Etrovision is 192.168.1.2. You will need to be on the same subnet 192.168.1.___ to connect. If not, you can set your computers IP address to static until you get into the video server and then you can change the IP address. Goto your local area connection, Internet Protocol Version 4 and properties. Set a static IP to the 192.168.1 subnet and any IP address other than the Etrovision’s IP. See attached picture. Open IE and type 192.168.1.2. It will prompt to install an ActiveX. (you will likely have to back off some security settings to get it to install). Once installed the page will load and your video stream will appear. (user: root, password:pass)
