A customer asked:
I am wondering about the max current draw of the 7 Channel Relay Module through the Vcc input? I am trying to size my power supply.
Also how much current will this draw through the 7 “In” inputs? The Arduino board I plan to connect to the 7 inputs has a recommended max output of 20mA per output pin.
The V+ input pulls up to several hundred mA depending on which relays you’re using and how many of them are enabled at once. For instance, the 5V relays pull 72 mA and the 24V relays pull 15 mA when closed, so with all 7 enabled you’ll be pulling ~504 mA with the 5V and ~105 mA with 24V.
The “In” inputs are used to enable transistors and pull less than 1 mA each.
