A customer recently asked: Hello – what motor controller do you recommend for this motor:
IG42 24VDC Right Angle 024 RPM Gear Motor with Encoder. http://www.superdroidrobots.com/shop/item.aspx/ig42-24vdc-right-angle-024-rpm-gear-motor-with-encoder/1829/April 6, 2015 at 11:23 am #2298SuperDroidKeymasterA lot of this depends on how you want to use it. The stall current of this motor is right around 13Amps. The SyRen10 will work fine if its just a single motor. http://www.superdroidrobots.com/shop/item.aspx/syren-10a-regenerative-motor-driver/847/. The Sabertooth 2×12 if its 2 motors http://www.superdroidrobots.com/shop/item.aspx/sabertooth-dual-12a-motor-driver/1155/. If you are wanting to use the encoder feedback you can use the Kangaroo with the Sabertooth or SyRen http://www.superdroidrobots.com/shop/item.aspx/kangaroo-x2-motion-controller/1514/ with pull up boards http://www.superdroidrobots.com/shop/item.aspx/ig32-ig42-and-ig52-gear-motor-encoder-pull-up-board/1512/. They are the most versatile and best price for options. If you have a PWM output from a micro-controller, our PWM driver will be less expensive and will work for normal loads, but will not handle the stall current http://www.superdroidrobots.com/shop/item.aspx/pwm-motor-controller-3a-12-55v/583/.
