Thanks for answering quickly. I already damaged two Saberteeth because the battery had 29.2V after full charge. There is now a short circuit between B- and B+. Do you know which part has blown-off in this case? Is it one of the IC or maybe just a capacitor which I could replace by myself?

Hi – I have another, very important problem with my Saberteeth 2×12. I am using 8-cell LiFePo4 batteries to drive my 24V DC motors by the Sabertooth 2×12. When fully charging the batteries, I get an initial peak voltage of 29.2V (8×3.65V). The error LED on the Saberteeth glow constantly and the Sabertooth does not work until the voltage drops…[Read more]

Thank you for the fast answering! Actually, I have 12 Saberteeth 12×2, but I didn’t test them on this behaviour yet. Working at the moment only with one. But I will report back as soon as the remaining 11 Saberteeth are on work.
No, I am not using S2 for Estop. Only S1 for Packetized Serial communication with an Arduino Mega 2560 (on TX3). But do…[Read more]

Hi – I am currently working with a Sabertooth 2×12. Basically it works fine when controlling with “Packetized Serial”. However, when not sending commands to the Sabertooth for a longer period of time (say 2 hours), the Sabertooth subsequently does not react on new commands anymore.
Is there something like a sleep-mode integrated to this device?…[Read more]
