No, they shouldn’t be needed.

No. We do not carry that wheel chair motor anymore and there is not a lower gear ratio available.

We have never had a motor that will not work at all, sorry you are having this issue. If the motor is not working, you can return it for repair or replacement per our terms and fill out the RMA form. https://www.superdroidrobots.com/Terms-Returns

If you supply 24VDC to the motor with no load connected does the motor work?
SuperDroid replied to the topic Broken Motor issues in the forum Product Questions 2 years, 9 months ago
Hi. Does the motor work if not in closed loop? search the blog for lots of support on encoders https://sdrobots.com/?s=encoder

Not sure what wheel chair motor you are referring to since you have no links or part numbers. Lower RPM will be higher torque. Some of our wheelchair motors have lower RPM gearboxes. If there is not a lower RPM, then there is no way to get more torque out of the same motor…

Hello,
Unfortunately, we are not familiar with this command. This question is probably better for the RoboteQ forum.

The Jetson nano is 3.3V logic level so I would try to match that if you can.
SuperDroid replied to the topic Rs232 comm between NVIDIA and Roboteq in the forum Electrical & Controls 2 years, 10 months ago
It seems like that would work. I’m not sure what logic level it supports.
I reviewed your picture and it seems you have a diode backwards. I couldn’t follow the wires since they go out of frame and are all the same color.SuperDroid replied to the topic Rs232 comm between NVIDIA and Roboteq in the forum Electrical & Controls 2 years, 10 months ago
It seems your files failed to upload. Please email them to sdr@sdrobots.com.

The manual has a commands reference starting on page 187.

Yes you can try that. Do you have access to an oscilloscope so you can observe the pulse train? Just measuring the voltage isn’t great for validating the logic level of communication lines.
SuperDroid replied to the topic Rs232 comm between NVIDIA and Roboteq in the forum Electrical & Controls 2 years, 10 months ago
This is expected. The diodes are for protection. As the documentation states, they are used to clamp the voltage between the resistor and the Jetson Rx.
The key to this circuit is changing the voltage observed by the Jetson Rx. It seems you’ve only checked the Tx voltage of each device.

Are you using a 4.7K Ohm resistor?
SuperDroid replied to the topic Rs232 comm between NVIDIA and Roboteq in the forum Electrical & Controls 2 years, 10 months ago
It should be set to inverted.

Hi. Sorry, we do not support or sell the BMS1060A. Please contact RoboteQ.
SuperDroid replied to the topic Rs232 comm between NVIDIA and Roboteq in the forum Electrical & Controls 2 years, 11 months ago
No, removing the diodes would just leave the resistor between the Jetson Rx and the RoboteQ Tx.
We don’t have a sample program available for this but that demo script looks like a good starting point. You can just modify the write payload and read the response to print out.

I’m not familiar with the adapter you’re using. However, we use the circuit on page 179 on a regular basis. You can purchase the PCB here. This circuit would replace your adapter, and as the documentation states, the diodes are optional.
To validate the communication you can open a python terminal on the Jetson and send ASCII queries while…[Read more]
