This week, I will be explaining how to read RC pulses with an Arduino. On our robots, the most common configuration for an RC-Arduino system involves using a Spektrum transmitter + receiver combo with the receiver

The servos can be set up to give you 360 view. Each servo can get 180 to 190 degrees if you go to the full extents of travel. You will want one to be at 0 degrees (~1000us) facing forward. The other at 180 degrees (~2000us) facing forward. Move the servos to these positions then mount your servo arms that hold the sensors. When at 1.5ms…[Read more]

The program is intended as a starting point for the robot. It can be programmed however you want. We used the sweeping sensor to look left and right to see what path was least obstructed. When the robot is driving forward, its looking forward for obstacles and its driving.

Yes, it makes a huge difference. The right angle ones are a piece of cake. We have lengthened them several times. You just need to remove the old shaft and slide in a new one. It think its retained with a couple c-clips and the bevel gear is held on with a set screw. Just use lock collars on you new shaft to retain it unless you have a lathe…[Read more]

The shaft can be removed fairly easily. On most of the motors its just a C-Clip and then the 4 screws holding the gearbox to the motor. You will have to take out all the planetary sections. The shaft is attached to the last planetary section. The tricky part will be to make a new shaft that attaches to the planetary gear plate. In most cases…[Read more]

Mecanum Robots are one of the coolest type of robots around. They can drive in any direction and rotate easily. So why not put a computer stand on it and a second monitor mount. When laying in bed or sitting in

Servos require a specific PWM signal. A simple switch will not work. It has to receive a pulse every 20ms that is between 1ms and 2ms (the width/length of the pulse determines the position of the servo). Please refer to our Servo/RC Support Page for more details. We have this simple servo controller, you could possibly do something by turning…[Read more]

What about about for TE-099-220 24V 4500 mAHr NiMH 2×10 Battery Pack
SuperDroid replied to the topic Battery Packs and Battery Chargers in the forum Product Questions 8 years, 10 months ago
Yes. The AstroFlight is the best charger. It’s a field charger, so it needs a 12V car battery input or a 100W or more power supply that is 12V such as TE-038-000 .
